1st Thanks!!!
"Add File" just upload file from my PC to phpABC web Hosting , but not to my ABC Torrent program .
After this I have to use "add url".
possible to make only "upload torrent" and he will send it automaticly ? ( maybe add in options the IP/Port of hosting and he will take torrent file automaticly after I press "upload" ?

Doesn't matter, I fixed it after all. Basically what was happening was that the file was getting uploaded to the server fine, however the directory it was uploaded to was password protected. This was for security reasons (I don't want just anyone looking at my ABC stuff) and meant that when ABC tried to open it, it did not have read access to that folder (without the password). I therefore just moved the temp directory for the torrent files to another folder on the webserver which is not password protected and now it works fine.

I have even just tested it with the newly released ABC v3.1 and it works fine (although the preferences are now slightly different so these may need changing - I don't actually know about that though since I don't use that feature of phpABC). So thanks for this!!!

I am currently using phpABC but I am having a bit of a problem with the 'Add File' command. I don't know if anyone else has had this issue but I thought I would ask.

The web-server running phpABC is on my desktop computer (the same computer which ABC itself is installed on), it therefore connects to the webservice using the loopback ip (i.e. localhost or 127.0.0.1 etc.) which works just fine for everything except the 'Add File' command.

If I wish to add a torrent then I can do this through the 'Add URL' command just fine, but when using the 'Add File' command I have found that the torrent file is successfully uploaded to the server but then cannot be added to ABC because ABC cannot open URLs of torrents from the local loopback ip, nor can the webservice accept add commands in the form of a local filesystem address.

Has anyone else experienced this problem and been able to solve it? I have been hacking around with the source code of phpABC for a while now and haven't managed to get it working yet so any help would be much appreciated.

Excellent software its very useful for someone on the go who doesn't always have access to a pc with vnc viewer.

I pointed it to the domain i use at home and aside from having to set my own htaccess script it was a simple 3 second install.

what version are you using? It works with 3.0.1b and below. I haven't tried any of the test versions in the ABC forums so i;m not sure if it will work with those. Reading the forums I see that<a href="http://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=3281514"> some people are having problems</a> with the web service in the test version so perhaps that is the issue?

I think you are the second person to have this issue with only port 80 (the default http port) open. i'll have to keep this in mind in case anybody else has this problem (course they'll see it on the blog too hehe)

Thanks for the quick answer.
Unfortunately, i already checked that.
My Windows XP firewall is disabled, my router firewall too.

I use my internet IP (82.xxx.xxx.xxx) as my domain.

I am wondering if it's not a PHP problem. Maybe the provider doesn't support (one or more) PHP functions you use?
Can i check that with a phpinfo() ? (or with any other test ?)

Thanks a lot.

What are you using for your domain? It should be your IP address if phpABC is running on a different computer

also, if you've got a firewall make sure that is also disabled on port 33333 :)
